Dr. Yoshiro Nakamatsu, (Dr. NakaMats/中松 義郎) holds more than 2,300 patents, has won the grand prize at the International Exposition of Inventors in New York City, invented the floppy disk, the compact disc, the compact disc player, the digital watch, a unique golf putter, and a water-powered engine. He was awarded the 2005 Ig Nobel prize for Nutrition, for photographing and retrospectively analyzing every meal he has consumed during a period of 34 years.
