NASA and the William Cooper SF

NASA - Warp Drive, When?

Its been suggested that we might have something to learn by studying UFO stories. I disagree. First there is this signal to noise ratio problem. Even if the stories are correct, they are only as useful as science fiction. Science fiction can be useful to give you some mental picture to get you started thinking about the real issues, but it is no more useful than that. Even if UFOs were completely real, which is doubtful, and even if I had a film of one in front of me, it wouldn't be of much help.

During several space missions, NASA astronauts have reported phenomena not immediately explainable; however, in every instance NASA determined that the observations could not be termed "abnormal" in the space environment.
NASA - Warp Drive, When? FAQ

What is interesting is that the U in UFO stands for 'unidentified' . This not just means we do not know what it is, it also means we do not know what it is not.

The repeated excuses to be ignorant are easy to spot. Take this line for example:

"Even if UFOs were completely real, which is doubtful, and even if I had a film of one in front of me, it wouldn't be of much help."

His opinion is not a credible source of information. "which is doubtful" has no meaning.

"Even if UFOs were completely real, ... , and even if I had a film of one in front of me, it wouldn't be of much help."

Examples with imaginary conditions are irrelevant so: "and even if I had a film of one in front of me" also has no meaning.

"Even if UFOs were completely real, ... , ... , it wouldn't be of much help."

Now the real meaning of the line is starting to show. Lets look some more at this line.

Even if UFOs were completely real.

I'm still convinced the U stands for 'unidentified', so the author assumes people are not capable of 'unidentification'. That a real oxymoron.

it wouldn't be of much help.

Here he promotes guessing over knowing? Something that is unidentified wouldn't be of much help?

The truth is that we fry people in the Edison chair over 2 witness testimonials. That's the truth! And we have a million UFO sightings.

Take William Cooper, a former military intelligence officer. Now he either was brainwashed or there really are ET's out there. Not just UFO's but ET's!

"Even if the stories are correct, they are only as useful as science fiction."

Here I agree, military intelligence is useful as science fiction. Specially his own NASA article. hahaha
