In the last post, (yikes that was back in July!), we described the new "Feeds" module that lets you pull your personal content from other blogs and web services onto your Yahoo! 360° page via RSS (Really Simple Syndication).
Here's the part we didn't describe so well: the Feeds module on your "My Page" is for friends, family, and fans to find out (by checking their own Y! 360° pages) when your personal stuff updates. It's the place to share your personal stuff via RSS feeds. It's not the place to share all the other stuff you read online via RSS, like Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Buzz, or your favorite famous gossip blog, gadget blog, or mommy blog. (Try My Yahoo! for that, it works much better.)
Another little issue we thought you'd want to know about: RSS is not really as simple yet as the acronym would have you believe. RSS feeds (when they work right) do provide a great way to share your frequently updated content: a blog, a wishlist, a playlist (for example) -- and to consume published/public content such as news feeds, other people's blogs, your friends' movie queues, playlists, calendars, and stuff like that. But, RSS feeds aren't available uniformly across all web sites and services, and we're still working out the details of making it all work smoothly in Yahoo! 360°.
Bear with us as we improve the update process sometimes known as a pingstream (because we "ping" your content source to get the latest updates).
So, here's to taking the pain out of your pingstream -- and thanks for your patience.

Great job Y!360 team. Your comments and updates are eagerly anticipated. Keep it up in the feature (may be on a weekly, daily basis). A little Y!360 blog buzz index would be nice to have.
Tumbs up for the blog pings - no more blo.gs manual URL clicks. Automated way would be just perfect.

Well yeh if I were to delete all my contacts using Yahoo! News feed i'd be acting like a real dictator, I hate that! Maybe an option to let us display only Yahoo 360 blog entries/blast/Profile changes for the contacts could be useful...but then again it's should be customizable for each contacts...
Or I thought about a way for Yahoo to scan the RSS feed entered by the user and check the main domain it is based on. Like to someone entering a feed from Y! News, the base-domain would be
http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/xxx then an alert message could show up to warn the user.
Then I would not feel bad to delete user tricking their Y! News feed thru feedburner to hide the base-domain

Okay, well I deleted all my other blog sites when I joined 360. I got tired of logging in all over the web when my home is at Yahoo!. Nevertheless, it sounds good what you are doing with the feeds. If the feeds allowed me to put my Yahoo! Game scores on my page or Yahoo! calendar or even my Daily Horoscope then I'll be "crunk" about feeds, otherwise blah blah blah blaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Now, I'm a social butterfly and I still wonder why my friends arent getting my invites by mail or messenger and tired of having to wait 30 days before sending another one. I WANT MY FRIENDS !!! That darn Hi5 searched my address book sent out an invite, my people received them and joined with no problem. NO PROBLEMS, I say. But no, 360 invites are mysteriously loss or tells my 40 year old friends that they are under age, or that my page doesnt exist. COME ON NOW. Please seriously COME ON Yahoo, get it straight.

Hello. I have 1 feed which comes from my blogger site. After setting up a feedburner.com address, the feeds come in but they don't update. What is the point of the 360 page if we can't get them to update instantly? We might as well tell others our blog site instead. I would use the Yahoo blog feature, but there is a limit to text characters. Hopefully something about this will be addressed, or else I'll have to ditch 360 altogether and get a more suitable alternative. Even making your own html page and updating it through FTP is better than the current system.

Not to sound ungrateful or anything, but perhaps before you add new stuff, you should fix the stuff that's broken. These same people (me included) cannot get the settings page to save. We click the appropriate boxes and radio buttons, click Save or Save and Continue, yet nothing happens. Go back to the settings page and nothing is checked.
Other than that, I like Yahoo! 360 so far.

Mah, the sad part is that the size of yahoo is preventing 360 from being original (read cool)
I once thought Blogger was leaving the uses in the dark with this much html to manage. Frankly it looked a bit old school in todays days of content management. But I was wrong, the users have a thousand times more knowledge of HTML as the whole Blogger team put together and they have close to a million times more time to do so.
I have loads of ideas for blogs and sorting them is my specialty, I signed up for this service to see what ideas yahoo has and how hard it is to build them.
The rss feeds was a bad idea because it takes a HUGE amount of time compared to simple things.
Could you at least give us our BLO.GS block for fuck sake? Takes 1 menu option on/off and a box to insert the javascript.
But this feature vacuum was inspiring to! The same request was repeated in new wording and it evolved into.
"give us a sandbox to play in"
I imagine your silent reply would be "do you know what it costs???"
But why don't you guys have others pay to supply us with cool features?
Lets have an example:
I think a link named "satellite" would look cool on the blog. A nice adds free map should appear showing where I live.
Now, I do not care if google, yahoo, MS terraserver, mapquest or even
http://www.globexplorer.com (much more worthy if you ask me)
So the real question is: who will pay most to have their map here?
And if yahoo loco ever discovers Europe you can put the yahoo map thumb above the satellite thumb. (Like you put the inferior yahoo photo above flickr)
This is an example the idea has nothing todo with maps.
lets have another example?:
But! The Blogger profile supports AIM, MSN, ICQ and yahoo messenger not google talk. Lots of us want a Skype "call me now" button on the yahoo blog and that should not have to happen cheap.
more examples?:
I think some firm would pay big to supply us with a dynamic smile set. I must have seen that banner 500 times now so I wont post a link. lol
ok, you probably have no idea what I mean but trust it to be one amusing post to those who do. And my real ideas to be to worthy to dump in a comment box at no charge with no reply whaat so eveah. lolzzz
- with greetings

Another 360 member mentioned that she's having problems getting her friends to be able to join. Me too! Out of over 15 invites I sent out, only 2 people actually got the invite and were able to respond. The rest asked for another invite, but Yahoo! won't allow me to send one. It appears that I'm blogging to myself, which is pretty pointless. I didn't know about the waiting period of 30 days. I was ready to cancel and give up, actually, because only two people can access my page anyway. There's got to be a way to fix this issue so people can be re-invited if the first try doesn't work.

I have been hearing of some people having thier yahoo account "Hacked" into using programs that crack passwords. I would not bring this up but in the last 2 months I can tell you of about 20 or so people I have heard complain they go to log onto thier account and they can not longer get to it. These are people using Yahoo Chat. So, I wonder is it possible to crack thier password. Seems hoaxy to me. Also I wonder if it is possible to change your password security question. Just hink that someone might know what it is somehow. Since most people put down thier pet or something. Point here is that it should be changeable somewhere. If not this would be a nice change to make it available. It is just very disturbing to hear about all these people loosing thier accounts saying they have been hacked into. That sticky post idea would be nice,
The messenger is bloated with nonsense. Not a miracle it has holes now. I guess yahoo doesn't know what "communicate with customers" means. Look how they are going after the phone market with a game platform - HAHAHA. Makes me wonder, would they have an x-box and a playstation in the office to?
Chat clients don't need to be bigger as 100 kb I've seen a yahoo client thats only 12kb not 26 MB - google talk is 6 MB (here) and thats still 60 times as big as it should be.
Why are those bullshit features loaded in memory all day? It's the most counter-productive application I use. A chat client doesn't need to do a lot more as synchronize a text doc and refresh a text editor/viewer. Did you ever see 26 MB of text? I figure it's 27262976 letters of essential code for sending executive pool invitations.
I guess a firefox extension with the chat nested in the status bar would be nice to a lot of people?

Simple enough? Or will you leave the moment you see the word [link]?
I kind of like seeing people visit my "personal homepage" in response to my comment. I also like visiting the personal homepage reading the comments on my blog.
Now for the communication part. looking at a 360 blog I cant find the posts with comments I've made. No index = no communication. I should be reading the replys to my comment so I can make sense of the nonsense I wrote. All I need is a list of recent posts or an option to view 20 posts per page.
Maybe I don't bring it simple enough?
